The 9-story research tower for Children’s Mercy Kansas City features a custom unitized curtain wall system, diagrid feature glass and an all-glass stair tower. Situated on “hospital hill” in the center of the Children’s Mercy campus, the new tower was constructed on top of an existing parking garage. As the design-assist partner, AWS worked closely with the design and construction teams up front with heavy BIM and MEP coordination along with extensive thermal testing. ​
