In a strategic move to enhance collaboration and efficiency, Architectural Wall Systems and Seedorff Masonry have unveiled our new office and shop facility in Grimes, Iowa.

By starting the construction of CMU panels early in the design process, our crews were able to expedite the building schedule. All CMU panels, which constitutes the west, south and east elevations, were set in less than one week. The structural steel followed immediately.

​Both AWS and SMI crews were hands-on in building the new facility. AWS installed the curtainwall and punched openings, all metal panels along with the glass at the front of the building and the glass handrail for the feature staircase. SMI built the pre-fabricated CMU and brick panels at our Strawberry Point shop. The crew laid interior CMU walls and brick on the south elevation, the cast stone at the reception desk along with the granite feature wall at the lobby stairs and conference room. ​
