This project’s building envelope gives a beautiful feel of transparency with a double wall approach.
The building envelope was designed, engineered, fabricated, assembled, glazed and installed by AWS. The exterior wall system is a European rain screen design consisting of an air barrier membrane, four inches of mineral wool insulation, galvanized steel perforated panels for an insulation screen, three foot space, and a four sided structurally glazed open-joint glass wall system featuring horizontal fritted lines.
AWS was the recipient of the 2006 AIA Excellence in Craft Award for this project
